Your Anti-Turkey Day Memes Won’t Work
Every year like clockwork, the “don’t celebrate Thanksgiving” memes or status updates roll out full steam to serve as a reminder for why we should not be celebrating this holiday. Well…here’s my response to all those advocating we just sit around with a frown on our face reminiscing over the tragic past:
Dear Super Duper Pro Blacks from Blackistan,
Yes, I know you aren’t celebrating Thanksgiving already. You remind me every year with a meme highlighting Native American genocide & the atrocities of slavery…but I still like turkey, greens, Mac n cheese, stuffing, sweet tea, cornbread, yams, potato salad, sweet potato pie, red velvet cake, & pecan pie.
Your memes are futile.
