24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
Foundation…many of us have them in relationships, businesses, schools, jobs, church, etc. However, many of us don’t have a strong one nor is it based correctly. I used to live in a pink house that stood tall. Yet, we had to move out because the foundation was not properly set and it was a danger to stay there. The end result was that house being condemned and bulldozed. The builders had to start all back over from scratch and build it again, this time with a solid foundation. They took their time and worked out the kinks and there were complications along the way, but the house is now standing tall and new, and it will for many years. I charge us today. Let’s check our foundations. What do they stand for? What are they based on? It’s crucial for us to have solid foundations not just for ourselves, but for those around us because if our foundation isn’t set, those who look up to us and follow us won’t have one either. Their crash could be much worse than our own. Also, let’s not just talk today. Let’s focus on doing. Don’t just be potential today, be kinetic. Be blessed.
